Anushka Eranga Visuals

His work is inspired by the places he travels, the people he meets and the stories hidden within every location. From the deserts of the UAE and Saudi Arabia to the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, the cultural landscapes of Sri Lanka, the historic streets of Istanbul and the modern skylines of Dubai, Anushka captures each place with a strong sense of light, mood and scale.

He is a self taught photographer who built his career through passion, patience and a constant desire to improve. His images are not simply about documenting a location. He focuses on creating photographs that make people feel the atmosphere of a place, whether it is the silence of a desert, the energy of a city or the calm of a remote mountain landscape.

From 2017 to 2020, Anushka worked as a Sony Alpha Ambassador in Sri Lanka. During this time, he took part in workshops, campaigns and exhibitions, while sharing his knowledge with aspiring photographers. He has also collaborated with brands including HONOR Mobile, Fujifilm, SIRUI and Capture One.

His work has been published and featured by National Geographic, Daily Mail, The Times, Yahoo News, Fstoppers, Khaleej Times, Gulf News, Sharjah24, CameraPixo and other international photography platforms and publications.

In December 2024, Anushka held his solo exhibition, Beyond Borders, at Reflection Park in Aljada, Sharjah. The exhibition featured work from his travels across different countries and landscapes. It brought together images from Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Sri Lanka and other destinations, celebrating nature, culture and the connection people have with the places around them.

Some of his major personal projects include Desert Dreams, a collection focused on the changing colours, textures and night skies of the UAE desert, Reflections of Istanbul, which explores the architecture and culture of Istanbul, and Beyond Borders, an ongoing collection of photographs from his travels around the world.

Aerial photography is also an important part of his work. Using drones, Anushka captures fresh perspectives of cities, deserts, coastlines and landscapes. His aerial images of Dubai, Sharjah, Sri Lanka and the UAE desert reveal details and patterns that are often missed from the ground.

Anushka also enjoys teaching and mentoring young photographers. Through workshops and training sessions, he shares his experience in composition, lighting, editing, drone photography and building a personal style.

He continues to travel, explore and create new projects. His upcoming work includes documenting lesser known places in Sri Lanka and Central Asia, with plans to publish a coffee table book featuring a selection of his best photographs and travel stories.
